We have formulated a plan that will hopefully suit many of you... Last year our dance clashed with the fireworks in New Brighton, this year we're working with them!!
The Fireworks display is from 7.30 - 745pm, so we are starting our dance at 8pm.
One of the best places to watch the fireworks is from the beach at the front of the Surf club at the end of Bridge Street, 3 minutes walk from The Bridge.
So here's the plan:
1. The Bridge car park can fit 10 - 15 cars [if we squash them in] and will be available ONLY to Ecstatic Dance attendees. We will have a first in/first served parking policy. The gate will be manned from 5.30pm to ensure only dance attendees use the carpark. You will pay for your dance as you arrive into the carpark. Once the carpark is full, we will close and lock the gate.
2. You go off and enjoy your evening, returning to the dance at 8pm.
3. By the time the dance finishes at 10 - 10.15pm you exit the car park and the traffic from the fireworks will be cleared.

Ecstatic Dance is a global movement dance event for open and beautiful souls from all walks of life. You're never too old - and never too young!
The guidelines we follow in the dance:
Be present - without phones or cameras.
Be embodied - without talking.
Be clear - with no alcohol or drugs.
Be consensual - look for a clear yes, respect a no.
Be here - with no outside shoes [sox okay]
Be free - dance how you want to!
No Judgements - be authentic!
And please be aware of your own body and its capabilities.
When we step on the dance floor, we include our whole selves, even the frightened parts that want to hide.
We open the doors at 7pm with relaxing, reflective, meditative music. You can stretch, meditate or move - but please no chit chat as this interrupts others who want to experience the event more deeply.
At 7.20 we welcome you to the dance and the DJ journey begins. At about 8.50pm we lay down and catch our breath, relax and become grounded - while listening to sweet ambient sounds and experience a mini gong bath. We close with a group circle where we can all speak [or not] and get to know each other a little better.
$15 / $20 / $25 [Cash - pay what you wish]
kids under 18 dance for free - with a guardian.
