EcoJatra 2026 is a youth-led eco-tourism, environmental learning, and field-based awareness initiative by Earth’s Ants Organization. The event will take place in Cox’s Bazar and surrounding eco-sites, combining nature exploration, coastal conservation education, community engagement, and responsible tourism practices.
The event is designed to help young people experience Bangladesh’s coastal beauty while understanding the environmental challenges connected to marine pollution, plastic waste, biodiversity loss, irresponsible tourism, and climate vulnerability.

EcoJatra 2026 will not be a regular tour. It will be an educational environmental journey where participants will explore nature, observe real ecological challenges, engage with local communities, and take part in practical conservation-focused activities.
The event will promote the idea that tourism should not only be about visiting places, but also about respecting nature, protecting local ecosystems, and creating positive impact.
۞Objectives:
✯To promote responsible eco-tourism among youth.

1. Eco-Orientation Session
A short introductory session on responsible tourism, coastal ecology, environmental safety, waste management, and the purpose of EcoJatra 2026.
2. Beach Cleanliness & Waste Audit Activity
Participants will take part in a guided beach clean-up and basic waste categorization activity to understand the type and volume of waste commonly found in coastal areas.
3. Marine Pollution Awareness Campaign
A youth-led awareness activity focusing on plastic pollution, tourist behavior, clean beach practices, and the importance of protecting marine life.
4. Eco-Site Exploration
Participants will visit selected natural sites around Cox’s Bazar to observe coastal landscapes, hills, beaches, vegetation, and human-nature interaction.
5. Community Interaction
A small field interaction with local people, tourism workers, or community representatives to understand environmental challenges from local perspectives.
6. Nature Journaling & Field Reflection
Participants will document observations, environmental issues, possible solutions, and personal reflections from the journey.
7. Youth Climate Dialogue
A discussion circle where participants will share ideas on how youth can contribute to coastal conservation, sustainable tourism, and climate awareness.
8. EcoJatra Impact Report
After the event, Earth’s Ants will prepare a short impact report covering participant learning, activity outcomes, waste audit summary, field observations, and recommendations.
