Making your own candles is a very relaxing and satisfying hobby, and in this class you'll use 100% natural wax, and include natural essential oils to create your own range of eco-friendly, vegan, aromatherapy container candles.You'll learn about:
Types of natural wax available
What equipment to use
Wick sizing, different wick types and choosing the right wick
Calculating how much wax to use
Using essential oils and fragrance oils
Understanding hot and cold throw and testing fragrance throw
Temperature control
Health and safety, and proper labelling
Troubleshooting
You'll make and take home 6 container candles, and you'll also be given an information booklet which contains all the information you learnt on the class.
Suitable for beginners, you will be guided through every step by Wendy, owner of The Little Craftery, and life-long crafter.
The workshop runs for approximately 3 hours. Enjoy a chat with like minded people and learn some new skills! All materials and refreshments are included in the price.
