In this one day, 3-hour workshop, we will explore the art of collage while working with the topic of circular systems. Using provided collage making materials, students will be challenged to create an original collage or mixed media piece incorporating images of water cycles. Students will be allowed to choose one of three select images of a water cycle (i.e. evaporation, condensation, precipitation) to begin constructing a collage. While using as much or as little of the image, students will embellish their piece with the provided collage making supplies (i.e. magazines, tissue paper, text and found images). The workshop is focused on helping students relate to the circular system with the use of recycled magazines, found images, and mixed media supplies.
Cost: $100 / $85 members
Materials to bring: magazines, tissue paper, text and found images
