Eco-Botanical Printing
About this Event
This is a hands-on introduction to transfering plant shapes and colours into fabric using natural mordants and hot water techniques.
We will prepare the cloth and mordant (dye fixative), forage a variety of plants to print, and use water, fire, vinegar and iron to obtain intriguing patterns and a variety of colours and shapes on a natural fibre cloth.
The workshop is led by Elisa Briscioli - co-founder of Nature Vibezzz and Sankofa to Nature and a keen advocate of traditional nature-based crafts. And thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund we're able to provide it for free.
