Eclipse IDE Community Call: Engage and Shape the Future of SWT
Join the Future of SWT: An Interested Party Call to Shape What's Next
Following the preliminary evaluations from the Initiative31 project (see GitHub repository), the Eclipse IDE team invites you to an Interested Party Call on November 28, 2024. This is your chance to help shape the future of SWT (Standard Widget Toolkit) as we embark on its modernization journey.
We’re looking for passionate contributors and collaborators to join us in defining the next steps for SWT. Whether you have experience with SWT or want to get involved for the first time, this is an opportunity to directly influence the direction of one of Eclipse's core technologies.
During the call, we will:
- Review findings from the Initiative31 project and explore key areas for modernization.
- Discuss community priorities and gather input to guide the next phases of SWT development.
- Identify contributors interested in helping with future efforts to bring SWT into the modern development landscape.
This is more than just a discussion—it's a chance to make an impact and contribute to SWT's evolution. Join us, share your ideas, and collaborate with peers and Eclipse developers to ensure SWT continues to serve the community’s needs.
Event Highlights:
- Dive into the Initiative31 evaluations and potential modernization paths.
- Share your thoughts and feedback with the Eclipse development team.
- Explore how you can contribute to shaping the future of SWT.
