nspired by a Japanese legend about a ghostly parade, San Diego’s psychedelic rock power trio Earthless return to their instrumental roots with their new album. Known for their heavy, expansive jams and acclaimed live performances, the band delivers two long, dark, and atmospheric tracks instead of vocals this time.
The pandemic brought guitarist Isaiah Mitchell back to San Diego, which allowed the band to reconnect creatively. Bassist Mike Eginton also created the album’s cover art, drawing from traditional Japanese spirit folklore (Yōkai). With a sound that blends psychedelic rock, space rock, and stoner influences, Night Parade of One Hundred Demonsfeels like a return to the band’s origins—and might just be their finest release yet.
