The Guale Indians, who called these coastal marshes home, used a variety of plants to prepare helpful herbal "teas". Join us on a walking tour where we chat about not only the tribe's history, but the environmental impact of colonial-era humans. Enjoy a cup of spruce and yaupon, two of the most commonly imbibed teas over 300 years ago. This event requires no pre-registration. Visitors should arrive in adequate outdoor gear for an hour-long leisurely walk that will equal no more than a mile altogether. For the more environmentally-minded, feel free to bring your own mug to sample tea! Otherwise, paper cups will be provided.
Cost: standard admission. Historic Site Annual Pass holders gain free entry!
