Earth Day Picnic at the Park!

Join us for a meaningful and community-centered Earth Day Gathering, co-hosted by the United Nations Association of the USA, Davis Chapter (UNA-USA Davis), and the American Association of University Women, Davis Branch (AAUW Davis).

This informal celebration will take place just north of Davis City Hall, near Civic Center Park, and welcomes community members of all ages to connect, share, and reflect on our shared responsibility to care for the planet.

This year, we are also commemorating the 30th anniversary of the UNA Davis Peace Roses—originally planted to honor the 50th anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter. These roses stand as a local symbol of peace, global cooperation, and our enduring commitment to a better world.

What to Expect

– A relaxed, picnic-style gathering with tables provided for food and drinks

– Iced lemon water for all guests

– A chance to meet like-minded community members and celebrate the spirit of Earth Day

What to Bring

– A cultural dish of your choice to share

– Your own plates, utensils, and cups (in the spirit of conservation and zero-waste living)

– Family and friends—all are welcome!
