Earth Day Celebration

Join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Xi Zeta Omega Chapter for a community Earth Day celebration focused on sustainability, environmental education, and service. This family-friendly, all-ages event invites neighbors, youth, and community members to come together to learn, volunteer, and care for our shared environment.

Participants will enjoy hands-on activities including tree planting, community garden planting, home gardening education, waste reduction demonstrations, and a neighborhood block clean-up. Youth leaders will guide engaging environmental activities, and guests can also take part in a 30-minute yoga and mindful movement session.

Community partners will provide resources and demonstrations to help families learn practical ways to live more sustainably and start their own home gardens.

Please bring plants and potting soil to donate to support community planting and youth gardening efforts. Also bring your gloves, gardening tools and shovels for this event.
