In honor of THE most livable, lovable planet...Our 1st bike tour of the year (and “7th” year in a row) is a bike-&-hike with a healthy dose of salty ocean and sweet, Earthy gardens!
Earth Day Bike Tour

1. MEET: NEST Arts Factory (8:30 AM)
(1720 Fairfield Ave)
- Free street parking on Holland Ave
- We will leave as a group at 9:00 AM, don't be late!
2. Clean-up Hike to Fayerweather Lighthouse (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
(Seaside Park & Fayerweather Island)
- Please wear sturdy shoes for the hike along a 1-mile stretch of jetty and beach to the lighthouse.
- We will have trash bags and rubber gloves for anyone who wants to help clean up along the walk.
- This part of the beach is BEAUTIFUL and can always use a helping hand with trash brought in on the tide.
4. LUNCH: Ruuthai's Kitchen (1:00 - 2:00 PM)

5. Colorblends House & Spring Garden opening gallery reception (2:30-4 PM)

- Hug a tree and get to know your friendly neighborhood 3rd generation wholesale supplier of top-quality Dutch-grown flower bulbs!
- Learn about flower bulb varieties and planting methods while strolling beautiful demo gardens that are a collaboration between Bridgeport-based Colorblends Wholesale Flowerbulbs and distinguished Dutch garden designer Jacqueline van der Kloet.
- Browse and shop the artist reception and gallery in the house.

6. END: Nest Arts Factory (4:30 PM)

Reminder:
- Always eat a complete breakfast AND get a full night of rest before a bike tour!
- Bring water, a helmet, bike lock and money for your lunch.
- Do your best to stay with the group and mind the time.
- Obey ALL rules of the road and always ride at your own risk.
- Tune up and check your bike BEFORE the day of this ride!
- We ALWAYS recommend wearing a helmet and bringing spare tire tubes for your bike!
- Need a bike? Reach out ASAP for help sourcing a loaner.
- Don't bike? All are welcome to join us by car or by foot.
- Invite your friends and RSVP, so we know who's coming!
