Join us at Wex Glasgow on Friday 11th September as part of the Wex Summer Roadshows. We’re bringing a full programme of free seminar talks, live demonstrations and practical sessions to Wex stores across the UK.
These talks are designed to inspire, educate and give photographers & filmmakers the chance to learn directly from experienced professionals, brand experts and leading creatives. Whether you’re looking to improve your technique, try new ideas or get more from your kit, each session offers practical advice you can take straight into your own photography.
My Outdoor Office. An inspiring talk on the craft, patience and persistence behind creating meaningful outdoor images.
With over 30 years’ experience in photography, Dylan has focused on the landscape since 2014, capturing both his local surroundings and the wider Scottish and UK landscape. In this seminar, he will explore the work that goes into turning the image you imagine in your head into a finished photograph, from planning and persistence to reacting to light, weather and location.
Dylan will also discuss the different tools he uses to tell his stories outdoors, from the reliability of the Nikon D850 to the character of medium format film, the precision of the Leica Q3, and the portability of compact cameras such as the Sony RX100 II. Each camera has its own charm, purpose and place in the creative process.
