Graag maak ik u attent op de eerstvolgende DCWC roundtable op 26 Juni 2024 bij de Hogeschool van Amsterdam
De Dutch Cyber Warfare Community (DCWC), de grootste Nederlandse netwerkorganisatie rond cyber warfare en digitale geopolitiek, verzorgt op de Amstelcampus van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam haar 28ste roundtable. Daarvoor zijn we te gast op de Wiboutstraat 3b te Amsterdam.
Het belooft weer een bijzondere avond te worden, waarbij onze oude vriend van de show Winn Schwartau (VS) terugkomt om komt vertellen over zijn rondzwervingen aangaande zijn aankomende boek "Metawar: The Battle for Reality in the Metaverse". (Zie een excerpt hieronder). Zoals u wellicht weet is hij al eerder te gast geweest om onderzoek te doen voor dit boek, en hij gaat ons bijpraten over wat hij sindsdien heeft beleefd en heeft bijgesteld. Van wat wij begrijpen is zijn vorige bezoek aan Nederland "teleurstellend verhelderend" geweest, dus dat belooft een interessant verhaal!
Tevens zullen wij een zeer oude vriend-van-de-show terugzien, namelijk Raymond Bierens. Raymond was een van onze allereerste sprekers en is altijd zowel gast als grote hulp geweest van DCWC. Zijn resumé is sinds zijn laatste lezing bij DCWC stevig gegroeid. Naast zijn reguliere werk in de cybersecurity is hij bestuursvoorzitter van Stichting Connect2Trust (waar ook DCWC lid van is) en lid van het bestuur van DIVD Academy. Naast dit drukke bestaan is hij ook druk bezig met zijn PhD aan de Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam. We zijn bijzonder vereerd dat hij tijd wil vrijmaken om bij ons een lezing te komen geven. Deze zal gaan over de Nederlandse implementatie van NIS2, ook wel bekend als de Cyber Beveiligingswet (CBW) die momenteel in consultatie is.
Al met al dus weer een bijzondere avond die zeker de moeite waard zal zijn om bij te wonen. Schrijf u nu in!

Winn has lived Cyber Security since 1983, and now says, “I think, maybe, I’m just starting to understand it.” His predictions about the internet & security have been scarily spot on. He coined the term “Electronic Pearl Harbor” while testifying before Congress in 1991 and showed the world how and why massive identify theft, cyber-espionage, nation-state hacking and cyber-terrorism would be an integral part of our future. He was named the “Civilian Architect of Information Warfare,” by Admiral Tyrrell of the British MoD.
His new book, “Analogue Network Security” is a mathematical, time-based and probabilistic approach to justifiable security. His goal is to provide a first set of tools and methods to “fix security and the internet”, including fake news, spam, phishing, DDoS and more. It will twist your mind.
