Juan & Pato are also available for individual Instrument Lessons: They often give one-on-one lessons in guitar or voice. They can also provide instruction and coaching on tango arranging and composition. They will be staying in the East Bay during their time in SF.
BIOGRAPHY-
Juan Villarreal and Patricio Crom began working together in 2010 playing tangos in milongas and clubs in the city of Buenos Aires. From the beginning, the duo Villarreal Crom, tried to find a particular aesthetic and a unique style that they have refined with the passing of the years.
Today they are one of the most renowned duos on the tango scene in Buenos Aires and the world, having made countless tours in Latin America, Europe and the United States.
They have released 4 albums: "De corte romántico (2012)", "Cinco tonos (2015)", "En la luna de Valencia (2017)" and "D'Arienzo en guitarras (2022)". In May 2023 they will present their new album consisting entirely of original works. In 2022, they were on the cover of the renowned German magazine "Tangodanza", the world's largest tango magazine.
BIO: JUAN VILLARREAL
A singer, guitarist and composer, Juan Villarreal was born in Puerto San Julian, Patagonia Argentina.
He actively participates in different musical projects, including Orquesta El Arranque, Duo Villarreal Crom, Nidia y su Banda, El Muro Tango and Cruces del Plata.
He has recorded several albums and performed concerts throughout America and Europe.
In 2022, presented the album "Darienzo en guitarras" with guitarist Patricio Crom in tribute to Juan Darienzo that was released on vinyl .
In 2022, he presented the album "Camaradas" with the renowned Orquesta El Arranque and Maestro Victor Lavallén, historical bandoneonist of Osvaldo Pugliese's orchestra
BIO: PATRICIO CROM
Born in Buenos Aires, Patricio Crom is an arranger, composer, and guitarist of Argentine music.
He studied tango guitar at the Academia Nacional del Tango with maestro Anibal Arias. Patricio has recorded several albums, as well performed throughout South America, Europe, and Asia.
In 2022, Patricio released his fourth album with singer Juan Villarreal titled D’Arienzo en Guitarras. In addition to his musical activities, he is an accomplished puppeteer, a collector of antique Argentine guitars, and is preparing a documentary film on tango guitar, directed by Yael Szmulewicz, which will premiere at the Buenos Aires Film Festival in April 2023.
