Dune Discoveries Beach Walk

Join Explore Natural Martin for a guided beach walk as we explore the unique coastal ecosystems of Florida's barrier islands! We will be joined by the Indian River Lagoon Aquatic Preserves, who will provide insight into the dune's diverse vegetation and fascinating geologic history. We will also learn about how these critical ecosystems support local wildlife, such as the endangered sea turtle. Don't miss this chance to enjoy a peaceful morning on Florida’s beaches while gaining a deeper understanding of their ecological importance!

DETAILS

• FREE program, but reservations are required
• This program will begin at 8:30am and last until approximately 10:30am
• The length of this nature walk is about 1 mile across various natural surfaces, primarily sand
• Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
• Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
• Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
• No pets
• All participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided at the start of the program
