The 2023 Duckhorn Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon captures the essence of this storied appellation. This wine begins with color of rich dark plum. The aromas are complex revealing violets, blackberry, fig, notes of dark chocolate, sweet spice and a hint of pencil shavings. The palate is full bodied with finely grained tannins and the classic Rutherford dust that we like! The tannins are present into a long finish that is slightly dry, but fresh enough to keep the wine balanced. This is a vintage you can drink now with decanting but will develop well for the next 10+ years in the cellar. Chicago Wine Press International.
