The Annual Duck Derby race is a charitable event in which thousands of numbered ducks are released into the stream at Friendship Park just below the dam on Friendship Lake to compete in a race toward a finish line. Participants "adopt" one or more ducks with each duck assigned a unique number corresponding to the adopter. On race day, the adopted ducks are simultaneously released, and they float along the course, driven by the natural current or wind. The first duck to cross the finish line wins, with prizes awarded to the adopters of the top three (3) ducks with the corresponding number to the ticket sold!The event will begin at 10:00 am and will conclude at 1:00pm, set up will be as early as 8:00AM.
