Safety officials will be on site and ready to collect and properly dispose of your prescription drugs during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 25. The event will be held at the Central Fire Station located at 911 Safety Way from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Vape pens will be accepted, but batteries must be removed. No illicit drugs will be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not be accepted. Please do not bring needles, syringes, or inhalers to this event. Before dropping off, black out your name and address on the prescription bottles or pour medications directly into a disposable bag. Tablets, capsules, and solid forms of medication are accepted. This is a safe and legal way to get rid of prescription pain pills and controlled substance medications that can only be accepted for disposal in the presence of law enforcement.
Please do not flush or pour unwanted, unused, or expired medications, prescriptions, or over-the-counter drugs down the drain.
