Join this drop-in workshop designed for new adults to learn more about making zines, the history and culture of zinemaking, and to try your hand at making a zine of your own! This workshop will be facilitated by local artist Pseudo (@misprintproductions on Instagram). There will be multiple stations, and all supplies will be provided and Pseudo will be on hand for guidance. According to Jen Thomas of Boatwright Memorial Library, “a zine… is typically described as a self-published, handmade, or small press booklet that is photocopied and distributed in relatively small quantities for the purpose of sharing ideas, experiences, and perspectives, often of historically marginalized or underrepresented subcultures and social movements.” (https://libguides.richmond.edu/zines)
