Driving Under the Influence & Distracted Driving Awareness Program
About this Event
The Village will host its third Driving Under the Influence & Distracted Driving Awareness Program this September for youth, teens, new drivers, and families. This educational event offers young people the opportunity to learn practical safety skills through interactive, hands-on experiences in a fun , informative and engaging environment.
In partnership with Belleville Police Service, MADD Quinte, Co-operators, and the Ministry of Transportation, participants will engage in meaningful conversations surrounding distracted driving, texting behind the wheel, driving impaired or high, peer pressure, decision-making, and how driving choices can affect future insurance rates and personal safety.
And did we mention… we have a driving simulator to practice on? Youth will have the chance to experience safe decision-making behind the wheel in a realistic, interactive environment that always becomes a program favourite.
This event is perfect for families wanting to start important conversations around road safety, especially those with teenagers who are preparing to drive or who have recently started driving independently.
We can't wait to welcome future drivers to the Village for another exciting season of learning, discovery, and fun!
