This is an album release tour for Drivin N Cryin's latest Crushing Flowers, produced by Sadler Vaden (of Jason Isbell & 400 Unit), featuring Peter Buck (REM) and Todd Snider.
Drivin N Cryin is an enduring American rock band formed in Atlanta in 1985, blending Southern rock grit, roots, and Americana with emotionally direct songwriting. Recent inductees to the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and the Wisconsin Music Hall of Fame, led by Kevn Kinney and anchored by longtime members Tim Nielsen and Dave Johnson, the band broke through with enduring songs like “Fly Me Courageous,” “Honeysuckle Blue,” and “Straight to Hell,” and—unlike many of their era—never stopped recording or touring. Their new album Crushing Flowers returns intentionally to the core trio, favoring clarity and chemistry.
Over the years they’ve shared stages with artists spanning generations and genres, including REM, Hootie & The Blowfish, The Black Crowes, ZZ Top, Soul Asylum, Blackberry Smoke, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Who, and Jason Isbell. Nearly four decades in, Drivin N Cryin remains a vital, working band whose legacy is matched by its continued relevance onstage and in the studio.
