Dreamcatcher Workshop (Indigenous-led)
About this Event
Join Bougie Birch for an Indigenous-led guided conversation and hands-on dreamcatcher-making session that brings cultural learning, creativity and connection together.
The session begins with the dreamcatcher’s Ojibwe roots, then explores its history, meaning and the different cultural contexts it has moved through over time.
The conversation can go wherever participants would like, including broader themes connected to the lived experiences of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Questions, reflections and curiosity are welcome, creating space for honest dialogue and deeper understanding in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Ashley will guide participants step by step through creating their own dreamcatcher. No previous crafting experience is required, and individual support will be available throughout the session.
Your ticket includes the full two-hour facilitated session, all tools and materials, guided instruction, cultural learning and a completed dreamcatcher to take home.
Come ready to listen, ask questions, create and leave with both something meaningful you made and a deeper understanding of the stories and contexts surrounding it.
