Find keys for living your life: engage with your dreamsYou dream approximately three times a night. Every night you have adventures – deeply emotional experiences – that inspire you, fill you with wonder, puzzle you, and sometimes frighten and disturb you. Dreamwork is a mode of engaging with our dreams that employs open questions, observing associations between the events and symbols in our dreams and the events of our waking lives, and using our dreams as material for creative acts such as drawing, writing and drama (dream theater!). In the process we decode the advice our dreams are giving us for leading more meaningful and effective lives.
In this workshop, we will explore to following:
– How do you improve your memory of dreams?
– What ARE dreams, actually?
– How do we understand the symbolic language of the subconscious?
– How do we extract the advice our dreams are giving us?
– How do we safely and ethically explore dreams as a group activity?
– How do we use the content of dreams as material for our creative endeavors?
Who is this workshop for? People who:
– suspect it would be worth working with their dreams but don’t remember them.
– do recall dreams but don’t know how to make further use of them.
– are troubled by nightmares and want to learn how to have a more harmonious dream life.
– are looking to enhance their creativity.
– are fascinated with the workings of the subconscious.
About the facilitator:
Theo Huffman is a scholar of languages, literature and history who currently works as a gimnázium language teacher. He has also worked as a journalist, corporate manager, martial arts teacher and bird farmer. He is a life-long mystic and has been initiated into several mystical traditions.
