Superhero Teams, Magical Girls & Giant Fighting Robots?! with Alexandra GarciaTuesday-Thursday, June 30-July 2: 10 am-12 pm
Ages 12-17
If your teen loves shows like Sailor Moon or My Hero Academia, this class is for them! The goal for this class is to learn about "super powered teams" through several well-known genres in manga, comics, and anime. Participants will explore and build the super-power team: protagonist, rival, mascot to create some fun and unique characters for their own stories and worlds. Day 1, we will build the protagonist team for the different team-based story genres; Day 2, we will build good villains and creatures that push their hero team into victory! Day 3, we will learn the ins and outs of drawing action scenes for their characters…from walking to throwing a punch! We will also be doing several drawing and character creation exercises. Students must bring a sketchbook to draw in and their favorite drawing utensils. Seating is limited.
