About this Event

David Bowie one of the most popular and influential musicians of all time. His hit songs - classics like “Space Oddity,” “Ziggy Stardust,” and “Let's Dance” are some of the most enduring of the last fifty years. Dr. Mike Daley Presents: The David Bowie Story is an entertaining lecture-concert celebrating his career and music, featuring Mike on guitar and vocals, Mike Ferfolia on bass and vocals, Adam Warner on drums and vocals, Dean Drouillard on lead guitar and Jill Daley on piano and violin.

You'll learn about David's early life in England, his rise to international fame, and his peak years in the 1970s and 1980s as a shape-shifting recording artist and style icon. The latest in a monthly series that has included sold-out lecture-concerts on Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel, Gordon Lightfoot, Tina Turner and the Beach Boys, The David Bowie Story is a must-see for any music fan.

Dr. Mike Daley is a musician and musicologist known across the GTA for his lectures and performances. Mike Ferfolia (The Beach Boys Story, The Stevie Wonder Story) is an in-demand singer and bassist with a variety of bands around the GTA. Adam Warner (The Guess Who Story, The Rolling Stones Story) is an established multi-instrumentalist and music educator. Dean Drouillard (The Rolling Stones Story, The Van Morrison Story) is a sought-after guitarist and record producer. Jill Daley (all shows) is a full-time musician at Canada's National Ballet School and, like Mike, is part of the music team at Redeemer.

Church of the Redeemer is a spacious and comfortable (cushioned chairs, not pews)1879 church with excellent sightlines and acoustics. It is conveniently located in Yorkville, close to Bay and Museum subway stations, ample parking and fine restaurants.

General admission tickets are $35.00 plus HST and processing fee. These events usually sell out, but if tickets are available at the door, they will be $50.00, cash only. Ticket holders will check in at the door - there is no need to bring a paper or digital ticket.
