Hosted by Brett S. Come join us for sketching in Black Mountain’s large community garden. I had a plot here before I started my own garden. This is such a great community resource. We’ll be sketching outdoors – bring a hat, water and something to sit on. This is an outdoor event.
Founded in 2004 by Dr. Wilson on a piece of town owned property along the Swannanoa River, the garden's mission is to: Grow ~ Educate ~ Share. Community members rent garden plots and 10% of what they grow is donated to Bounty & Soul. There are also community compost bins - anyone is welcome to drop off non-dairy and non-meat kitchen scraps in their compost bins.
