Whimsy in the Woods: Create Your Own Magical Mosaic MushroomsBrighten up your garden or flower pots with a dash of handmade charm! In this creative two-session workshop, you will craft two unique, concrete mosaic mushrooms complete with hand-cut wooden stakes. This class is designed to support both newcomers and experienced crafters in the "magical" art of mosaic design.
Day one is all about the "tesserae"—selecting, breaking, and adhering your ceramic pieces to your mushroom forms. On day two, you’ll master the grouting process with custom color options. You’ll head home with two durable, outdoor-ready mosaic sculptures and the "knowledge of the craft" to apply mosaics to almost any surface!
When: Sat, June 13 (12:30–4:00 PM) & Sun, June 14 (12:30–2:30 PM)
Where: Art Room, BMCA (Please enter through the bottom back door)
Tuition: $100 (Includes all supplies; $5 discount for members)
Takeaway: Two finished mosaic mushrooms for outdoor use.
