About this Event

Dr. Farima Berenji is an internationally acclaimed performing artist, choreographer, and scholar specializing in Iranian mysticism and ethnochoreology. She holds a PhD in Metaphysics and is an initiated master in the Iranian Sufi tradition. She is the author of Companions of the Sun and the founder of Dance of the Soul. Farima presents her work worldwide through lectures and performances that explore the spiritual and cultural depth.

Blending scholarship and embodied practice, this event features a lecture on the historical, somatic, and cultural roots of Persian traditional dance, drawn from years of academic and field research, followed by a live demonstration of sacred movements including Sufi turning.
