Doña Maraca: The Solo Drop-Ins

We're so excited to bring something new to Doña Maraca!This November, we're offering a series of drop-in classes alongside our courses. These open-level sessions are for both beginners and improvers who want to add a little more 🌶️ chiles 🌶️ to their salsa.These sessions will focus on body movement, styling, and musicality for both partner dancing and solo grooving. Come learn some new ingredients to sprinkle into your dancing and find ways to play and connect with the music.We'll also introduce you to the wider world of salsa, including how salsa is danced across different cultures, geographies, and histories, with traditions from Cali, LA/NY, and beyond. We'll also bring some of the extra flavours that show up in related styles like Boogaloo, Pachanga, and Cumbia.These 1-hour sessions will run on Saturdays at 10am and 11:30pm.Please note these are solo (non-partnerwork) classes, so if you're looking to learn how to dance with a partner, be sure to check out our partnerwork courses.
