Doxey Marshes walk and information sharing: conservation coming this summer

Join Staffordshire Wildlife Trust as we share plans for conservation at Doxey Marshes as part of our work in Stafford, designed to improve the river environment for wildlife.This informal information sharing event includes a short site walk, giving you the chance to see the areas planned for work on the ground, hear more about the project aims, and ask questions of the team.The conservation planned here will help restore natural river processes, improve habitats for wildlife and increase flood resilience, while enhancing access to nature for the local community.

This event is suitable for local residents, landowners and anyone interested in the future of the River Trent at Doxey.The work is funded thanks to the Environment AgencyWhat to expect

• An overview of the proposed river restoration plans
• A guided site walk
• Opportunity to ask questions and share feedback

Accessibility

• The site walk will take place on uneven ground, including grass paths and riverside terrain
• Paths may be muddy or slippery in wet weather
• The walk will be short and taken at an easy pace, with regular stops
• Unfortunately, the route may not be suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs
• Please contact us in advance if you have specific access requirements and we will do our best to support your visit

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear.If the event is fully booked and you could not get a place, please sign up to the wait list. If we have lots of interest we may be able to host more events.
