Chartley Moss Summer walk

Come join us for a delightful summer walk at Chartley Moss National Nature Reserve and learn about the plants and animals that make their home in this hostile environment. We also hope to spot some late flying white-faced darter dragonflies by the pools.

The walk is on predominatelyflat ground, although access to the moss is via a steep zig-zag path down the side of an old railway embankment. The path on the moss is very uneven with tussocky grasses, brambles and is very soft in some areas. There are some areas of log path, which may be slippy and uneven.
