The Oregon Masonic Lodge #151 will be a participant in this year’s “Downtown Oregon Trick-or-Treat” October 30th at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The Lodge will feature Founding Father and Freemason, Benjamin Franklin portrayed by Freemason Stuart Wise giving out candy with our Masons.
Trick-or-treating for “Downtown Oregon Trick-or-Treat” takes place along Main Street and the surrounding downtown. Children and families are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and visit participating local businesses, which can be easily identified by the orange pumpkin stickers displayed on their windows.
The annual daytime trick-or-treating event in downtown Oregon, Wisconsin was organized by Torhorst Insurance and the Oregon Area Historical Society for young children at home during the day, preschoolers, and daycares. It features over 50 local downtown businesses, offices, and community organizations.
"The Freemasons are proud to be a part of Oregon’s annual Halloween tradition," said David Huston, Worshipful Master.
"Events like these bring parents to Oregon's Downtown with their children and let them see the unique businesses here. We love seeing the creativity of the kids' costumes and it’s a wonderful opportunity for our lodge members to support and give back directly to the community and the families we live next to every day."
All local parents and children are invited to stop by the Oregon Masonic Lodge at 201 Park Street during the event to visit with our Masons. Parents are encouraged to bring their children in costume with ready-to-fill candy buckets.
