Down the river without a paddle. At Swim the Lakes there is nothing we like better than floating down rivers. This is one of our favourite Lake District wild swimming spots, providing you with the fascinating and relaxed experience of swimming wild. Come along, suit up, and go with the flow.
The swim down the river leads to Lake Windermere. The river mouth offers we swimmers dramatic views and a change of scene from the gentle river bank. Here we contour the shoreline and take a rest on a rock-shelf before heading back upriver.
