Dot Art Basics: River Stone and Wooden Pebble

We work on a river stone and a wooden pebble, both around 3 to 4 inches. I like these two surfaces because they are different enough to be interesting but forgiving enough for a first session. Most people finish both on the day. Some take one home and finish it over a quiet evening, which is something I actually encourage if you want the result to feel truly yours.
We go for about 2 hours and I do not watch the clock too closely. When people are in the middle of something good, we keep going.
There is tea and there is chocolate, proper tastings of both, running throughout the afternoon. It started as a little extra and turned into one of my favourite parts of the day.
