Donuts with DDRO

Donuts with DDRO is an engaging, informational workshop hosted by the DC National Guard Counterdrug Task Force – Drug Demand Reduction Outreach (DDRO) program.

This session is designed to introduce community leaders, educators, coalition members, and nonprofit organizations to free prevention support services available throughout the District.

DDRO works alongside community partners to strengthen prevention efforts before substance misuse becomes a crisis. Through collaboration, education, and capacity-building, the program helps organizations expand their reach and demonstrate real community impact.

During this session, participants will learn:

• How DDRO fits into the prevention and public health continuum
• Ways DDRO can support coalition development and coordination
• Available youth prevention education and school-based resources
• How DDRO can assist with community outreach events and engagement
• Support for public affairs, storytelling, and prevention messaging
• How to request free DDRO support for your organization

The workshop will also include a short interactive activity where participants can explore how DDRO resources could support a real prevention need in their community.

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to partner with DDRO and practical ideas they can use immediately.
