Domestic Abuse Training - Coercive Control Awareness & Response Initiative (CARI)

The Coercive Control Awareness & Response Initiative (CARI) is aimed at raising awareness and providing training on coercive control, a form of abuse that can be difficult to recognize. The training is designed for community workers, youth workers, community workers, teachers, and others to equip them with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to coercive control through the Head Shoulders Knees and Toes training programme.

• Increase awareness of coercive control as a pattern of abuse.

• Provide practical tools for identifying coercive control.

• Equip staff with responses strategies that they can embed in their practice.

• Promote safety and empowerment for victims/survivors.
