About this Event
At this seminar, hosted by the Craigavon Historical Society , a range of expert speakers will be on hand to guide us through this formative period in Ireland's history including Dr Tomás Ó Carragain of University College Cork; Dr Elva Johnston of University College Dublin; Dr Edel Bhreathnach and Dr Louise Moffett.
The following papers will be presented at the event
- ‘Early medieval churches in the Irish Landscape’ by Dr Tomás Ó Carragáin
- ‘Being Pagan, Becoming Christian’ by Dr Elva Johnston
- 'The role of monasticism in the early medieval Irish church' by Dr Edel Bhreathnach
- ‘The late medieval church in Armagh province’ by Dr Louise Moffett
There will also be a panel discussion and q & a session.
The event will be held at the Seagoe Parish Centre in Portadown. Doors Open at 10am, with the seminar commencing at 10.30am.
