“Palyanytsia” (2025) is not just a film - it is an exploration of a phenomenon. The film immerses the viewer in the consciousness of two American street art artists, Bandit and Jonny, who have long perceived the world through the lens of their art. In their home country, their work represented freedom and resistance to the system, yet the war in Ukraine shatters their illusion of understanding the world.
Their journey does not begin as an act of heroism, but as an attempt to comprehend reality. Kyiv, Irpin, Bucha, Borodianka, Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, Odesa, Mykolaiv are not merely cities - they are lived experiences that demand reflection and inner response.
