KÖLN TRACKS: THE LEGEND OF KEITH JARRETT'S KÖLN CONCERT
London Premiere + Q&A
Keith Jarrett's The Köln Concert is not only one of the most legendary recordings in jazz history, but the best selling solo jazz album ever made. Yet the performance behind it almost didn't happen. This documentary retraces @keithjarrettsolo's famous 1975 concert in Cologne, where obstacles including a problematic piano and an exhausted musician nearly caused the event to collapse. Through an investigation into the mysterious instrument and fragmented memories, @the_koln_documentary explores how a concert expected to be a disaster produced an iconic recording, revealing how chance and improvisation can spark extraordinary artistic creation.
▷ London Premiere + Q&A with Dir. Vincent Duceau
▷ 1 November, 4:20 PM at The Garden Cinema
Tickets via Doc'n Roll's website: https://www.docnrollfestival.com/films/koeln-tracks-the-legend-of-keith-jarretts-koln-concert/
