About the Resource

Introduction to the Nepali Language was developed by Dr. Mark Turin (Associate Professor at UBC), Binod Shrestha (Nepali Language Teacher) and Salina Dolmo Lama (UBC Graduate Alumni) with support from the UBC OER Affordability Grant Program and UBC Himalaya Program. The resource offers a structured introduction to the Devanāgarī script to support the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Nepali. Designed as a living and adaptable resource, the resource is freely available through Pressbooks and will continue to evolve through user feedback.
