DJ Kevin McCullough takes over the decks for a deep dive into Blondie’s defining 1978 breakthrough masterpiece, Parallel Lines. We're exploring the thrilling collision of New York punk, shimmering disco, and infectious pop brilliance.
Produced by Mike Chapman, Parallel Lines catapulted the Bowery club veterans into international superstars without sacrificing an ounce of their downtown edge. The first hour combines deep cuts and rare tracks from other Blondies releases, CBGB contemporaries like the Ramones and Talking Heads alongside key musical influences from the 60s such as the Ronnettes, and some Debby Harry solo materical, along with rich background narrative, setting the stage for a full playback of Parallel Lines in hour two.
