Diwali Special : Standup Show & Celebration
About this Event
Diwali Special Show and Celebration
What happens when a lifetime of following the rules finally hits a breaking point?
Join us for "Haath Se Nikal Gayi: Confessions of a Retired Good Girl," a special Diwali edition Hinglish spoken word performance followed by informal networking that dives headfirst into the chaotic, hilarious, and liberating world of shedding expectations.
Written and performed by Shilpi Swami (Lipi), this show blends sharp comedy, raw storytelling, and evocative poetry to explore what it really means to let go, speak your truth, and embrace a little bit of well-deserved rebellion.
What to Expect
- Comedy & Laughter: Relatable, witty takes on societal conditioning, modern life, and the turning points that change everything.
- Storytelling & Poetry: Heartfelt, unfiltered narratives delivered in a seamless blend of Hindi and English (Hinglish).
- Post-Show Networking & Mingling: True to House of Lipi traditions, the experience doesn't end when the mic drops. Stick around after the show to mingle, connect with like-minded people, and make new friends in a warm, welcoming community space.
- Diwali Special Vibes: Celebrate the festival of lights by breaking old patterns and stepping into a vibrant afternoon of art, culture, and connection.
