Blue Jay Point County Park is a 236-acre park that was once primarily agricultural land. A majority of this acreage is now second-growth forestlands. We have roughly three acres dedicated to open play fields, playgrounds, an environmental education center and an overnight lodge. There are five miles of trails within the park, but we will probably only do 3.5…perfect distance for August. Also, for those going to Philmont this would be a great warm up!! We will meet in the parking lot closest to the Education Center.
All you need to bring is a good pair of walking shoes, plenty of water and your enthusiasm.
Nature will provide the rest! We hope to see you on the trail. Rain or shine!
