Distilled: An Artist Series — Opening Gallery Night featuring Jonathan Kattine

Join us for the next chapter of Distilled: An Artist Series featuring August's artist, Jonathan Kattine.
Distilled comes from the idea of extracting the essence of something — just as spirits are distilled, artists distill their experiences, influences, and perspectives into creative work. This opening gallery night marks the beginning of Jonathan's month-long installation, with his work on display throughout the distillery all September long.
Come sip, mingle, and explore as Jonathan transforms the distillery with his bold, emotionally rich works blending expressive portraiture, layered storytelling, and vibrant compositions full of movement, intimacy, and human connection.
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy drinks from the bar, grab a bite from the food truck, mingle with Jonathan, and explore the artwork throughout the distillery as the space comes to life through art, conversation, and community.
Free to attend • All are welcome • RSVP encouraged
The gallery night will be followed later in the month by a ticketed, hands-on workshop led by the artist.
Presented by Distillery 98 in collaboration with Emerald Coast Storytellers and in partnership with the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County.
About Jonathan Kattine:
Jonathan Kattine is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Santa Rosa Beach, working across painting, photography, and sculptural mixed media. He received his BFA in Studio Art from University of West Florida in 2020.
His practice is rooted in observation, focusing on the relationship between people, environments, and the subtle tensions between presence and absence, reality and perception. Through painting and mixed media, Kattine creates highly textured works that exist between image and object, often incorporating sculptural paint, organic materials, and symbolic forms. His work explores contrasts such as natural and synthetic, permanence and decay, and beauty and discomfort to reflect the complexity of human experience. Learn more here: https://jonathankattine.com/
