Join us for the next chapter of Distilled: An Artist Series featuring July's artist, Ginger Leigh.
Distilled comes from the idea of extracting the essence of something — just as spirits are distilled, artists distill their experiences, influences, and perspectives into creative work. This opening gallery night marks the beginning of Ginger's month-long installation, with her work on display throughout the distillery all July long.
Come sip, mingle, and explore as Ginger transforms the distillery with her soulful works which blend expressive abstraction, layered storytelling, and vibrant color; creating emotional landscapes that invite reflection, connection, and wonder.
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy drinks from the bar, grab a bite to eat, mingle with Ginger, and explore the artwork throughout the distillery as the space comes to life through art, conversation, and community.
Free to attend • All are welcome • RSVP encouraged
The gallery night will be followed later in the month by a ticketed, hands-on workshop led by the artist.
Presented by Distillery 98 in collaboration with Emerald Coast Storytellers and in partnership with the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County.
About Ginger Leigh:
My name is Ginger but I was born Virginia Leigh and I've always been called Ginger. I am proud to say I was born in New Orleans and while I've lived in several amazing places, New Orleans will always be my home and have my heart. It is what founded the core of my soul and spirit & gave me a true appreciation for all things old and with a history - no matter the kind.
I graduated from University of Colorado with a pre-med degree; however, I have always been surrounded by artistic people and I developed a true appreciation and talent for combining colors, textures and styles. I have explored numerous artistic mediums, tools, theories, subjects and business endeavors. Then, in true Southern style....I coined my business, "Ginger Leigh Designs", 12 years ago. Since then I have piloted a stationery company, a retail storefront and a licensing company always selling my artistic designs. I conversed with the good Lord that I was willing to work hard and be a catalyst, to use me and give me a mission to touch people with His message and my art in all of their times of need....for comfort, for joy, for faith and for love. The Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA) of Walton County is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that has served as the creative core of Walton County, Florida, for more than 30 years. Through advocacy, education, funding, and innovative programming, the CAA connects the community to visual, performing, and public arts that inspire creativity, enrich lives, and support cultural tourism.
