$20The life and poetry of Ukrainian Poet and dissident Vasyl Stus -part of Stus Fest 2025.
Presented by Artistic Director of Canberra International Improv Festival, recently returned from performances in Kyiv and Lviv, Ukraine, this performance is a tribute to Vasyl Stus and one of many performances in Stus Fest, around the globe this January.
See documentary footage on the life and poetry of this fondly remembered artist of Ukraine, jailed by the USSR for his work during the Soviet era.
Then hear some of his poetry performed by local artists, as well as spontaneous poetry improvised using Stus as inspiration - an element that follows workshop earlier in the afternoon.
