(Dis)Placed - Opening Night and 'Unhoused'

Join us to celebrate the kick off of (Dis)Placed - A Theatre of the Oppressed Festival.

The evening will include a Forum theatre play about the housing crisis. In Forum theatre everyone participates in finding solutions to the real life issues posed by the performers. In this play, you will see our protagonist Sophie try to prevent the eviction of tenants from an apartment building that is being sold. She will face those who blame the housing crisis on immigrants, those seeking to profit from the crisis, and those who just don't know what to do. The question is, will it work? This is a rehearsal for real life where we explore strategies for activism through creativity, spontaneity and community.
