The Downriver Actors Guild is holding auditions for Disney’s The Little Mermaid on April 21 & 22 at 6:30PM. Additionally, callbacks will be held on April 23.Interested performers are required to preregister for their audition at www.2ndstpac.com/auditions. Auditions are by appointment only.
The Downriver Actors Guild is committed to the continued growth and learning of diversity, equity, and inclusion. DAG casting teams and its directors are working to be intentional in addressing their implicit bias. We are striving to be inclusive of all diverse actors including race, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, body type, and ability. We recognize that many of these characters are written on the binary and gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender, and non-binary actors should be encouraged to submit for the roles they most identify with.
Audition requirements:
Auditions for Little Mermaid will consist of vocal cuts from the show, a short dance, and sides (only at callbacks). The music and sides are to be prepared in advance. Memorization is highly recommended but not required. The dance portion will be taught at the audition. Please wear clothing and footwear you are comfortable moving in.
The character of Flounder will be aged 9-14 and must sign up for a 6:30 PM audition slot. All other characters are 14 and up and should sign up in the 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, or 9:00 PM slots.
