Charlie Carlin from Gathering Waters and Tom Stolp from Restoring Lands (formerly Ozaukee Washington Land Trust) will join Director John Rakowski in a discussion on land conservation funding efforts in Wisconsin with a focus on the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program. The program has recently been the focus of public discussion, as its funding is currently set to expire in 2026, though lawmakers could still opt to reauthorize it. Since 1989, Knowles-Nelson funds have helped support thousands of public projects throughout the state including land purchases, trail building, boat launches, and playgrounds.
