The Sherborne Missal was a powerful statement of spiritual pre-eminence in Wessex and the most glorious example of International High Gothic Art. Elisabeth Bletsoe will examine the context from which this work of art emerges and how it was actually created.Speaker: Elisabeth Bletsoe
Elisabeth Bletsoe is Curator of Sherborne Museum and a critically acclaimed radical landscape poet. She has degrees in psychology and history (with archaeology and heritage) and taught in the extramural department at Cardiff University and for the Workers' Educational Association.
Doors open from 1.30pm. Refreshments will be served following the talk. Tickets: £5 on the door. Free admission for members of Sherborne Museum.
